Thornbury 10k- 2025 Race Series Race #2
Rolling Country Lanes

The Thornbury 10k takes place on the rolling country lanes around Oldbury with wonderful views. We start a short walk from Oldbury Sailing club and finish at the Anchor pub!
For 2025 we will recognise your efforts with a multi-layer wooden medal. If you take part in all 3 TRC Race Series 2025 events (Riverbank Rollick, Thornbury 10km and the Oldbury 10 mile) the medals will link to create a larger impressive medal. Look out for photos coming soon on Facebook.
Race Series
We want to encourage runners to enter the whole Race Series and are offering a £10 discount for entering all three events (Riverbank Rollick 12th January, Thornbury 10k 19th June and Oldbury 10m 21st September) and by offering a prize for both the woman and man who achieve the cumulative fastest absolute time across the three events.
Please note: You need to enter the race series at the time of first entry please. You cannot enter the Riverbank Rollick and then later select series entry and receive the discount.
About the Race
- Entries are only available through Full on Sport. There are no on the day entries.
- Minimum age = 18 years old.
- If you are entering as a VI Guide Runner supporting a VI Runner then the Guide Runner's race entry is free of charge. A discount code has been provided to 'VI Runners Bristol' for the Guide to use on their entry. When you enter using the Guide code, we will ask for the name of your VI Runner so we can match the entries. If you are not a member of VI Runners Bristol, please contact events@thornburyrunningclub.co.uk for the discount code.
- Gun to chip timing.
- Individual prizes in all major 16 categories (see Terms)
- ARC permit number tba
- If you are unable to run on the day and wish to transfer your entry you are responsible for making the transfer. Details of how to do this can be found here: How to transfer your race series entry. Transfers must be completed before 23:59 Sunday 15th June.
Important Race Day Information
- Race HQ is at the Oldbury Sailing Club, Oldbury-on-Severn, South Gloucester, BS35 1QA. Please car share where possible.
- Parking available at the Sailing Club on a first come, first server basis, and there are no public car parks in Oldbury.
- There are no changing room or shower facilities provided
- Registration from: 18:00 – 19:00, please arrive in good time to register.
- Race number collection and bag drop at the Sailing Club HQ. The Club accept no responsibility for missing/damage to items within bags left at the Sailing Club.
- Start is 10-minute walk/5-minute jog from the Sailing Club HQ.
- There is one water station on the course
- There is an expected run time of 1.5 hours. There will be a sweep / tail runner but marshals will leave the course. Signage will be left in place.
